The UK is in desperate need of foster carers. Vulnerable children, who have been through trauma, neglect, abuse and all kinds of difficult life experiences, need our help. Becoming a foster carer is a truly rewarding experience, not only for the children, but also for the foster carer. It provides a safe, nurturing home environment for a child who may have never experienced such love and stability before. It also gives the foster carer the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life. By providing consistency and stability, foster carers can help a child to heal, grow and develop into a confident and happy adult. We must do more to help these vulnerable children, and foster carers are essential to this.
